Terms of Service
Welcome to West House Dental. By booking an appointment or using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are designed to ensure we can provide the highest standard of care to all our patients.
1. Appointments & Cancellations
We value your time and ask that you respect ours. We require at least 24 hours’ notice (excluding weekends and public holidays) to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
- Late Cancellations: If you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, a cancellation fee may apply.
- Missed Appointments: If you fail to attend an appointment without notice, we reserve the right to charge a “Fail to Attend” fee based on the length of the scheduled session.
- Late Arrivals: If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, we may not be able to see you. In this instance, it may be treated as a missed appointment and a fee may apply.
2. Deposits & Payments
- Deposits: We may require a deposit to secure your booking, particularly for longer appointments or specialist treatments. This deposit will be deducted from your final bill.
- Payment Timing: Payment is required in full on the day of treatment. For multi-stage treatments (like crowns or implants), we may require staged payments as outlined in your treatment plan.
- Accepted Methods: We accept major credit/debit cards and cash. We do not offer credit accounts.
3. Treatment Plans & Estimates
- Validity: Written estimates are valid for 60 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise noted.
- Changes to Treatment: Clinical situations can change during treatment. If your dentist identifies a need for a different procedure, we will discuss this with you and provide an updated estimate before proceeding.
4. Guarantee Policy
We offer a 12-month guarantee on certain restorative work (such as fillings, crowns, and bridges), provided that:
- The failure is not due to trauma, new decay, or gum disease.
- You have attended all recommended follow-up and hygiene appointments.
- You have followed the post-treatment advice provided by your clinician.
5. Personal Belongings
West House Dental cannot accept responsibility for the loss or damage of any personal belongings brought onto the premises. We provide areas for your bags and coats, but these are used at your own risk.
6. Zero Tolerance Policy
Our staff are here to help you. We operate a Zero Tolerance Policy regarding verbal or physical abuse, aggression, or discrimination. We reserve the right to refuse treatment and terminate the patient-practice relationship immediately if this policy is breached.
7. Complaints
We take all feedback seriously. If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please refer to our Complaints Procedure, which outlines how we will investigate and resolve your concerns.
