What Are Invisalign Invisible Braces?

Invisalign is a teeth-straightening treatment that uses a series of custom-made clear aligners to gradually move teeth into their ideal position without brackets or metal wires. The removable, virtually invisible aligners offer a discreet alternative to traditional braces and can help correct crowding, gaps and bite issues.

Over 5 million patients have straightened their teeth with Invisalign and chances are you already know someone who has had Invisalign treatment, without even realising it.

Unlike traditional braces, there are no brackets or metal wires. Invisalign braces uses a series of removable aligners that are completely transparent and nearly invisible, even up close.

It works by wearing a series of aligners, changed every few weeks. Each aligner gently pushes on and moves your teeth towards the desired location.

What Problems Does Invisalign Help With?

Invisalign braces are an orthodontic treatment for issues such as:

Clear Aligners in Pinner

If you are searching for clear aligners near you, West House Dental offers Invisalign from our private dental practice in Pinner Memorial Park.

Our location is convenient for patients in Pinner and nearby areas including Harrow, Hatch End, Eastcote, Ruislip, Northwood and North West London. The practice is a calm, non-high-street setting, designed to help patients feel relaxed and listened to throughout their dental care.

Clear aligners may be suitable if you want to straighten your teeth discreetly, improve your smile for a special occasion or correct long-standing alignment concerns without wearing fixed braces.

Is Invisalign Better Than Traditional Braces?

Compared to traditional braces, Invisalign offers a few key benefits;

  • Invisalign braces are completely clear and hardly noticeable, so you can choose this option if you aren’t happy with the look of traditional braces.
  • Invisalign braces are removable; you can take them off before eating or before brushing your teeth.
  • Invisalign doesn’t come with food and drink restrictions. You can eat or drink as usual and then put the aligner back on again.
  • Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign not only controls the amount of movement that each aligner delivers, but also the timing of the movement.
  • Because they are less than one millimetre thick, Invisalign aligners offer patients a less invasive alternative to orthodontic correction.

For some patients, a fixed brace may still be more suitable. During your consultation, we can also discuss discreet fixed options such as ceramic braces or lingual braces if they are better suited to your teeth, bite or lifestyle.

Invisalign Cost and Payment Plans

The cost of Invisalign treatment varies from person to person because every smile is different.

Your Invisalign cost will depend on factors such as how much tooth movement is needed, the complexity of your case, the number of aligners required, treatment length, refinements and retainers.

At your free Invisalign consultation, we will give you a personalised treatment plan and explain the likely cost before you decide whether to go ahead. There is no obligation to start treatment.

If you are comparing Invisalign prices or wondering how much Invisalign costs in the UK, the most useful next step is to have your smile assessed properly. This allows us to give you a cost that reflects your own teeth, rather than a generic estimate.

We can also discuss payment options and Invisalign finance during your consultation, including whether monthly payments may be available to help spread the cost of treatment.

Why Choose West House Dental for Invisalign in Pinner?

No two Invisalign providers are the same and not all have the confidence or experience to take on complex cases like we do.

At West House Dental, you’ll have access to Dr Telmo Iceta, who has an interest in Orthodontics.

So, if you’ve been told that your case is not suitable for Invisalign treatment we’d be happy to give you a second opinion.

Invisalign FAQs

Book your free Invisalign treatment consultation in Pinner online, or call 020 8866 3025.

Your Invisalign treatment starts with a free consultation at West House Dental. Our dentists will evaluate your smile to determine if Invisalign braces are right for you. They will then create a digital smile simulation to show you how your straightened teeth will look. After you and your dentist have approved your treatment plan, the individual Invisalign clear aligners will be created. You will wear each set of aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day and change to a new set of aligners every 1 to 2 weeks. Each aligner will gently and gradually shift your teeth into place, until your smile has been transformed.

The length of treatment for invisible braces varies from person to person. Your dentist will determine exactly how long your treatment will take. On average, however, Invisalign treatment times vary between 12 to 18 months. Though it’s possible to start seeing results far sooner.

We recommend you wear your Invisalign braces between 20 to 22 hours a day. Removing them for eating, drinking, brushing and flossing.

Unlike traditional metal braces, there are no restrictions on what you can eat and drink. You simply remove your invisible braces before consuming any food or drink. You can keep your Invisalign braces on however, when drinking water.

To clean your Invisalign braces, we recommend gently brushing them with a toothbrush and rinsing them in cold water. Never use hot water on your Invisalign clear aligners or consume hot drinks with your aligner on – the heat can permanently warp your clear plastic aligners.
